I am a mom to two wonderful children, an amazing son-in-law, and a “G” to 3 exceptional, beautiful grands.
I’ve been in the public school system teaching 24 ½ years.
I graduated from Van Buren High, and attended UAFS (Westark), University of Arkansas Little Rock and University of Arkansas Fayetteville, where I completed my Bachelor’s Degree as well as post graduate work. I taught a High School Sunday school class for many years, volunteered in my church youth group, worked in the Public School system with Middle School/Jr. High, and now work with little ones. My main goal in working with students is to have a lasting impact on their lives for Heaven’s sake. At the start of each school year, I pray that the Lord would help me be there for some student that needs someone they can count on.
What are some of your favorite things?
Where to start? A fresh new morning! I love knowing that I can make a difference in someone or in some way each day! I love being with my family, doing for others, cooking and cleaning! I love being outside on a beautiful Summer’s day working hard, mowing, 4-wheeling or just messing around. I love to work out, after a stressful long day. I love CHRISTMAS and ALL things GRINCH! (He does have a heart…ya know!)
What are you most excited about for this coming year?
This new adventure, uncharted waters, new staff and new friendships, little lives to pour into and mold in education. A chance to be on the ground floor of something wonderful for our community and surrounding area. The anticipation of looking back on this year and seeing the growth of learning in every child and knowing that I had a part in it.
